ABOUT NAOMI MASSAGE

by Leena N. Shirai, LMT, BA KES

As a child I found myself unable to say what I wanted to be when I grew up. I found this world too filled with variety to just pick one "thing" to do for my adult life. As highschool drew to a close and college loomed an epiphany blossomed: I wanted a career that provided more than just a means to get by. I wanted to give back, to fulfill more than my body and mind. I wanted the trifecta: a career for body, mind, AND fulfillment of the soul. Naomi Massage is the result of this inspiration. Whether you are working behind a desk under fluorescent lights or out in the fields under the beating Sun, your body is feeling the effects of your position. It is my objective to provide a restorative, peaceful experience for your body, mind, and soul. After each session it is our goal to prepare you for any path set ahead, overcoming any wall in your way!

ABOUT MYSELF

My name is Leena Naomi Shirai.

I was born at the Kona Hospital and raised on a small coffee farm owned and operated by my parents here in Captain Cook. After attending a college preparatory school in Honaunau I headed across the island to obtain my degree at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. In December of 2015 I graduated with a Bachelorʻs in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. During my college years, in between semesters, I worked at South Kona Physical Therapy, soaking up as much about the healthcare profession as I could while manning the front desk. After my graduation I dove into the workforce while planning my next move within the world.  In the summer of 2016 I realized what I needed to do, thus began my journey at Aloha Massage Academy. Then in 2017 with my Hawaii State License in Massage Therapy (MAT 15387) I started Naomi Massage and began employing the skills I learned, in the aim to give back to the community that has given me so much.
